Hi Bruce, thanks for keeping in touch. Your weather sounds like ours! We're still waiting for Summer....Spring is hanging on forever it seems. At least the drought we've had for the last 8 years is finally broken....that's the one thing we won't be whinging about!

And yes, a year witout funerals would be wonderful! There was a whole spate of them at the end of last year....so sad for everyone concerned. The only ones to benefit were that ones with HD, who are now all finally resting in peace. The battle is over...they will never be sick again. We must hold on to that thought.

Take care and keep your chin up....jenny

There is certainly no easy way to navigate our way through this life Bruce. Keep your faith strong my friend and don't let things get to you. Leave yourself in God's care; he sees how hard it is for us and is anxious to reward our faith. Keep in touch....your friend, jenny

It must be a scary thing to contemplate each year Bruce....the hurricanes unleash enormous power. It's awe inspiring to know that the power behind nature will soon put things right as well. And yes, it used to be that technology was easy to keep up with, someone came up with something new and it was a step up from what we had. Now it seems they are going ahead in quantum leaps and leaving us behind. Those of us who have not kept up are left so far behind that we seem to be on a distant planet now. It IS scary!  Anyhow, thank you as always for your kind words...sending you greetings from the beautiful east coast of Australia. jenny

Bruce, I am touched by your kind words. (and I did get your writing on Halloween...it was well done!) I too believe strongly in the power of prayer. This life is not the one we were meant to have and God has something wonderful awaiting those who have not compromised with the world; those who have not adopted its standards and practices and who still hold on strongly to their faith in spite of all they are going through. In our world of HD it is sometimes difficult to think about others suffering equally with a multitude of different maladies. God know how hard it is to stay on track when we are suffering and the world around us is so immoral and cruel. God knows those whose hearts are with him and he rewards their faithfulness. (Proverbs 27:11) I am sure he is smiling down on you and seeing your desire to please him....he will reward you with life in paradise along with all those dear ones we have lost in death. It will be a marvelous reunion.  Thank you for the encouragement. (((hugs))) jenny

Jeny, been haveing computer problems so I don't know if my comment on Halloween got through...Americans don't seem to see the holiday as a spiritual battle. My church has it at the church trying to have it booth ways.Me I study history and know that most our holidays have a pagan background. So to play it safe I worship Jesus every day.My life is being cut short so why wait for holidays to treat people with love.

Glad to be a 'provoker' of thoughts Bruce.  I like to use my mind too. I don't take anything at face value, as you may have noticed. God wants us to know the truth about everything. It's a shame that some people are happy to be ignorant. I'm glad you are not one of them. All my good wishes to you, jenny

Thanks for that bit of information Bruce, the Nazi's were a piece of work weren't they? It always amazes me that a regime that was so evil could have so many people demonstrating and supporting that same level of wickedness. The people in general were fooled by propaganda but the perpetrators were in full knowledge about what they were doing. Incredible! The Nuremburg trials found the participants guilty of genocide, but those who were simply carrying out orders under threat of death were found guilty on the basis of violating their own conscience . One assumes the head honchos had no conscience. And considering that the Nazis had the support of the Catholic Church is even more apalling. Are you a history buff Bruce? I am always interested in how the past shaped the future. And yes euthanasia is a very delicate subject. All the best, Jenny

Hey Bruce, glad to hear you love the Bible too. I have been a student and teacher of it for over 35 years. It still blows me away! I quote Ecclesiastes a lot, as you may have noticed if you've read my blogs. If I can give just one person a solid hope for the future, then I will have accomplished my mission. The future will be fantastic for those who welcome God's rulership....dancing with your Mom, what a wonderful thing to look forward to. Keep the faith. Jenny

Hello Bruce, thanks for the friendship request. This is a great site. I was interested in reading your blog but there was nothing that came up except the title. I fully agree with the sentiment though. A cure or at least a treatment would benefit so many. My husband is also in mid stage but deteriorating with each passing year. He is about to lose his drivers license, which is not automatically revoked in Australia. He has a restricted license at the moment, which allows him to drive locally. But his reaction time is getting to the point where he has to give it up. This will be one of the hardest things he will have to do. How do you manage to get around? Look forward to hearing more from you. All the best, Jenny from Down Under
