Hi Carla, there is nothing like the prospect of motherhood to make someone grow up! I have seen many young ones grow into responsible parents with the benefit of family support. It's a daunting prospect being responsible for another human being who is completely dependent on you. My sister found herself pregnant at the age of 16 (the boy was only 15 at the time) the result of losing her father to a heart attack at only 52. Kids respond to tragedy in many different ways. She went on to marry the baby's father and it was rough, (immaturity leads to some silly decisions) but they stuck it out and now their 2 children are very successful in their careers. How long before your granddaughter is born? Every life is precious and I'm sure she will bring much joy to your life. As a grandmother of 4 I can assure you they bring the love with them. It's the spectre of HD that casts a shadow over all of us. God is the sunshine that lights the way. Hope you enjoy being part of this wonderful family here. (((hugs))) from Oz, jenny

I'd like to add a big Aussie welcome too Carla. My goodness you are young to be a grandmother! You have a wonderful attitude so I'm sure things will not be so grim...you won't let them and neither will we. Great to have you with us. All the best from Down Under, jenny
