Tell us about your experience with/connection to Huntingtons Disease

Well my father had HD. My father died Feb 7, 2007. Dad was 48. Dad was strong during this loooooong haaaaard battle. My wonderful mother took care of my father til the VERY end. I (29)was gene tested positive in 1998. I have a daughter (9) who is at risk. I have a sister Desirae (30) who was gene tested positive in 1996. She has son( 12) Daughter (9) at risk. We have a brother named Donald(28) who finally decided to get tested, he is in the process currently. We also have a younger sister Brandy (25) she is negative. She has 3girls all NOT at risk. Me and my sister Desirae have participated in Research studies. MY sister Leads a support group in California, Leads a support group "HD SUCKS" on Myspace. We live our life to the fullest

My father was Diagnosed in 1991.   My dad suffered from HD for 16 years.  My father passed away from HD on FEB 7. 2007.

As far as I know  Im not symptomatic  WELL UNLESS YOU COUNT MY AWFUL MEMORY, AND HAVING TO CONCINTRATE ON THINGS ALOT MORE, IM MORE CLUMSY LATELY THAN IN PREVIOUS MONTHS, I HAVE DIFFICULTY LEARNING NEW THINGS
