An Open Support Network!

June 30, 2009

Effective Relationships

We all have times when there is crisis in our lives and for our own personal reasons there are times when we feel the need to step inward and go it alone.  I think it's natural for us to feel like we can handle things alone and not trouble those around us who may be involved in their own crisis.  However, it's a powerful resource to be able to open up an connect with so many in a support network.

Keeping your feelings inside can ultimately create more stresses for you and with this disease it's critical to minimize our stressful situations.

Being here on this site has provided me with a sense of belonging, and has actually improved my self-esteem and enhanced my desire to push forward openly as opposed to isolated in my own little world.  This is a great support network for everyone, and it  has been a great source of comfort, guidance, and has provided many of us with spiritual and practical assitance.

There may be some that or may not want advice, but simply letting your support network know what you are going through and knowing that they are there to support you will make a positive difference in your lives.  It's an absolute gift and blessing to have so many people to bounce things off of as an impartial sounding board, and from there we all learn, gain inner strength, feel very encouraged and as a result take action in our lives and own our true perspectives as it relates to our own personal situations.

It's a critical part of life to connect in friendships, and find areas of support and comfort.  I thank each and every one of you for being who you are and contributing to one another so empathetically.  It's helped me to understand more, be open to new ideas, and to witness the power of love in numbers!

You have made a difference in my life here,

Thank you!
