Who of the two American Presidential candidates will do more for HD? I am sure there are hundreds of thousands, maybe millions more people who have HD in their lives in the USA compared to the UK. With the forthcoming election, you have a powerful voice in electing the right person, but who is the right person, who will do you think will do more for HD?

    Whoever gets to live in the big white house will be in hot water financially from day one. He will have the monumental task of cleaning up the mess left by the previous tennant! That will take way more money than what is in the bank. How far down the 'fix it'  list is HD? Unfortunately when America gets the flu...the whole world ends up sneezing. Man can't fix the problems because man IS the problem!       ....again, just my two cents worth. (Sorry if I offend anyone)

    First of all, I think it is important to remember that George W couldn't spell HD...  While I feel confident that McCain would be more competent than Bush (and who knows? He might even allow stem cell research!), you'd have to go whith Obama from the standpoint of basic philosophy.  McCain, while somewhat of a renegade at times, has the basic attitude of most Republicans, which is to say "HD doesn't sound like something the government, and by 'government' I mean my big-moneid friends mostly,  should have to pay for."  While I am sure that Barack cannot possibly right all wrongs and walk on metaphysical water, he is generally inclined to believing that government should try to help people... even people without money.  Now, I know that smacks of socialism... and possibly is even as red as it gets communistic!  But I just have to say that Obama probably generally believes in the concept that people who make the most money should contribute the most in taxes and that some of this money, certainly much more than is being spent today, should be spent on issues such as HD.  ObamaObamaObamaObamaObama... not that I am partisan or anything!
