Tell us about your experience with/connection to Huntingtons Disease

“What can I say?  I am erica! I live in a small town. I was diagnosed with HD last summer. I have 3 sisters 2 of them are sick.  My dad also has this.  ummm....I think thats it for now!”

    Hey, Erika,
    Sorry about sounding so forward with my last comment! There is so much to learn about this disease! What most interests me is the CAG repeat number and the person's age. We don't have that info on Mindy's mom, Amy. I've just thought that I could probably talk with Amy's dad to see if I could have copies of any of the medical reports that he might have. Sounds crazy, but my step-children's family has always welcomed me (as apposed to my husband's family).
    Michelle is the oldest and will be 20 on the 20th of this month. She got married this past May. Her new husband went with Michelle and me to have her tested. She was diagnosed w/in a month of her wedding. She has been presenting for a long time, I guess, but I couldn't see it because Mindy presented physically first and held my attention most often.
    Anyway, I'm running on! I am so much better at talking than writing. I truly hope that I haven't upset you in any way. Take care and please feel free to comment back.

    Erika!! You have exactly the same birthdate and year as my step-daughter who was diagnosed in Jan of 2004 w/a CAG of 69. Her mother was adopted at birth w/no medical background. What is your repeat/CAG count? Tell me more about yourself
