Tell us about your experience with/connection to Huntingtons Disease

“I first learned about HD when I was 9 years old. My grandfather (on my father's side) had been in the VA Hospital since I was very young. I don't remember him. He died of HD. I didn't learn much about the disease... I am a "Bury- My -Head-In-The-Sand" person....”

    Thanks guys...Having a downer today....Im staying in the hospital I work at...cause the power is out (SINCE THURSDAY) due to an ice storm up here. I'm miserable, saw hubby and son for two hours....since Thursday....and I didn't realize I left my anti-feel like poop meds at home. I just got it today and took a double dose!

    Make sure you take your time and Heal....I hope you are feeling ok, I called you so Call me when your up to a chat....Tell Bill, HELLO.....A trip in Jan would be great, lets plan some place warm, we could fly and we can get cheap tickets soon...FEEL BETTER.....

    I have HD myself. Don't take HD as a life sentence. You have a husband. You have a kid. You have the blessings of a good life. This is the only life we get. We have to learn to live and to love HD. There is more hope now then there was when your grandpa died for it. Enjoy the small things. Enjoy the big things. Enjoy your life.
