Tell us about your experience with/connection to Huntingtons Disease
Iam very involved with raising awarness about HD, and doing fundrasing. Iam very open with the fact that HD runs in my family, and that i to, am at risk. I feel that every day, i have this diease...call me paranoid...but every twitch i make, i automatictly think the worst.
When it comes down to it...HD affects to many memebers of my family...and iam here to talk, and learn as much about this diease as i can

Iam Melissa McGuey, and iam 20 years old. My family is one of those many familes out there suffering from HD.
My grandmother had it, and passed away in 1994, since then...My aunt Pasty, Aunt Susan, Unlce Peter, My mother, and first couisn Tyler have been dignosed with HD.
HD, has casued alot of heart ache in my family, but we remain strong, and very close.
I have many first cousins at risk with the HD gene, and two sisters. I have thought about being tested many times, but my family feels that i shouldnt go through with the testing. Its a pretty big issue!
I pray that everyday we will soon find a cure for this horrid diease, so it will be cured, and familes and friends of HD can stop suffering. I wish for tears to stop flowing...and hearts stop breaking due to HD
