Hi Meghan, my time, these days, seem to be taken up with a bunch of things....husband, Mom, grandkids, Bible study, (my favorite) shopping, doc's appointments etc.....there never feels like 24 hours in a day anymore. Someone is stealing time!!
How about you? You giving that new chair a workout? How's little Alyson? Is she symptomatic yet? I recall her CAG's were pretty high. She's such a cutie...must take after her Mom!! I love all your pics.
All the best to you and yours, Meghan, (((hugs))) from Down Under, jenny
Larry has been a carpenter all his working life and has not taken care of his body. Kneeling on concrete over the years has ruined his knees and he also had a cartlege removed that set up arthritis. He has also had falls from ladders that have resulted in a bad back and shoulders. He is a mess basically without HD in the picture. He is in so much pain all the time and hates taking medication. He only takes pain meds at night but he still doesn't sleep well. I have heard that HD can result in poor sleep...does it affect you like that? We will know more when we see the specialist in the new year sometime. Hope you are feeling well today. How's that beautiful girl of yours? Sending (((hugs))) from Australia, jenny
I haven't celebrated Christmas for almost 40 years Meghan. When I researched the origin of it I decided that it was not something God would approve of. That's not to say that I disapprove of the family get togethers or the giving of gifts or the nice things that people like about this time of year....it's just that it is not Jesus' birthday (he was not born in December) and I prefer to do those other things at a different time of the year. We have a 'family day' on our anniversary. That way there are no arguments about whose house you eat dinner at, no unwanted gifts, no stress, no ridiculous expense and no hassles. Happy family times require happy families...there are not many of them left these days unfortunately. This time of year seems to be an excuse to do everything the Bible condemns. It's also a time of year when domestic violence goes off the scale....sad really.
I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but it's my personal stand and everyone is free to do what they wish. I hope this time of year is not too stressful for you. (((hugs))) jenny
Hi Meghan, things are going along ok at the moment. Larry has a doctor's appt on Monday to see about his bad knees. Walking is becoming more difficult and his arthritic knees are not helping. He may need a knee replacement, but I am not sure if he has enough good walking years left to justify the cost and the pain that he will have to go through. We'll ask the doc what he thinks. Hope things are OK in your camp. Keep smiling...(((hugs))) jenny
Hi Meghan, I was just dropping by to say HI. Hope things are going ok for you and Alyson. You got the hang of that chair yet? Hope its getting you around better now. (((hugs)) jenny
Beautiful photos Meghan, she is such a Princess....she must be your pride and joy. Hope you are doing ok, I think about you often. Big (((hugs))) to you and Alyson, jenny
I see you got some new wheels Meghan. How are you going with it? I had to laugh when I read about your Mom saying you'd hit people with a powered one! Look out!! .....Here comes Meghan!!! Hope it's making things a bit easier. How's your gorgeous girl? Sending you lots of (((hugs))) jenny
Hi Meghan, I have been thinking about all you guys in Florida. How have you managed in the storms? Did you have to get out? We have had some news stories here in Australia about all the hurricanes...it's one hit after another! Hardly worth cleaning up until they are done, I feel. How is little Alyson? She is such a cutie. And how is her Mom? (YOU) What did you think of my last journal entry? (have you read it?) I like to know what people think about these things....to give them food for thought. Anyhow, hope this finds you coping ok each day....one day at a time. (((hugs))) from Oz, jenny
Hi Meghan, I'm doing ok. Just had a go at doing some concreting in the yard. (Just a little pad) My husband is not up to those things anymore so I'm trying my hand at a few things now. I'm surprizing myself. My daughter helped me...I'm pretty happy with the result. Not bad for a couple of amateurs! Have a good night! (((hugs))) Jenny

Thanks Meghan, I've never had a fan before! I enjoy posting things that are a bit controversial. I like to have my own thinking stimulated and hope to stimulate others with some food for thought. Everyone is free to make up their own mind. It's people like you who make this site so great. So glad you are with us. (((hugs))) jenny
Hey Meghan, No we don't celebrate the 4th July. I live in Australia and the 4th July is American Independence Day. We haven't actually separated from Britain officially. The Queen of England is technically the Queen of Australia too. There is a lot of talk about Australia becoming a republic like America, but I don't think it will happen for a long time. Hope things are going well for you...you are such a positive person. We love having you on the site to cheer us up. (((hugs))) Jenny
Hey Meghan, Love your photos. Your little girl is so beautiful. I wish I could go to conventions but I don't think they don't have them here in Australia. They sound wonderful. Australia has a relatively small population so we just have local regional get togethers. The State HD Society here is very supportive and there is this wonderful website where we can talk about our issues and feelings. It's all good. Hope you're doing OK today. It's nice to hear that you are so positive. (((hugs))) from Jenny
Hi Meghan, How are things with you? Just realized I haven't said G'Day to you yet. I'm glad we all have this wonderful site to feel connected to others all over the world...one big HD family. (((hugs))) from Down Under, Jenny
