Late stages of HD?

Tim

Is there anyone that has experienced the late stages of HD that has some information they could give me. My mom has it and we just moved her to Hospice about a month ago. She has stabled off and her vitals are good. They are going to move her back to the nursing home but keep her under Hospice care. No one in my family has seen and been through the late stages of this disease. My aunt died of a freak accident in 1999. My grandmother died when I was 5 month old. Her and my grandfather were seperated and wasn't around to see. She died of a heart attack so I think before she got to the stage that my mother is at. If there is anyone that can give me some information I would greatly appreciate it.

Here is a brief desription of where my mom is at right now.

- She is off the feeding tube but she is eating. She is being fed.
- She has times when she can answer a question directly, then there are other times where it seems she is repeating part of our question.
- Her vitals are pretty good for her condition.
- She often gets real nervous and agitagted. When she starts doing costantly, they give her morphine to calm her down.
- The only other medication she is taking is Ativan.
