Very Important Question
For what it's worth, little brother, my husband resembles his mother who has HD, while his siblings resemble their father (and to date they have no symptoms.) But I'm not sure if this has any scientific basis. You have two sets of genes from each parent.....it only takes one set of the wrong ones to do the damage.
You have to have the test mate...it's eating you alive! Knowing can't be any worse than stressing over the maybe's. JJ

I am not sure. Let me say that I have HD as did my father and I am as close to a twin to my father as you can get. My older brother shows no symptoms and looks nothing like him. I do not know that there is any scientific basis on any of that but if it gives you comfort take it. If living with the unkown is to much get tested, but PLEASE be ware the reults will change your life + or - your life will change.

I am most similar to my father. Everyone thought i would be ok. But i have tested positive, a gene from my mother... I don't think genes follow any given rule. I don't know anything about mediterranean anemia ( i did google). I think the only way to be sure would be to find out if you COULD have both?? If you understand what i mean. People still get other things and have HD. But i don't know how mant genetic things people get and if any protect you from others.
