jennyHi Mary, just dropping by to say g'day. Hope you're enjoying the sunshine...send a little Down Under will you? We're freezing here. Lots of snow on the snowfields, beautiful days and very cold nights. Looking forward to Spring! (((hugs))) from Jenny

Rhonda S.Wow, Mary, thanks for the lovely compliment!! To be compared to your Mom is an amazing thing to me : ) From reading your profile, I know that she was an awesome woman. My Mom, too, has had to go through alot, especially for the last several years. She is one of the strongest people I know. My hope is that I can stay as positive as I am right now. I use alot of humor. I LOVE TO LAUGH!! It's such great therapy! Have a wonderful day, and we'll talk soon!

Mary MartinWell happy Saturday to you Lisa, The weather today is beautiful. Sunny, 85 degrees, no humidity. I just came back from swimming at a friends house. Was great fun to watch my grandson, Joey, learn how to swim. So how are you?

Joannehey mary, it is so great your family is so involved. my family is just the opposite. after mom died (13 years now) noone says a word about hd. if they do it is in their own home like me and my husband. there had been so many new discoveries i learned about when i finnally got my head out of the sand and started seeking out info. i felt like i didnt know anything. and now to be a part of this site knowing people from around the world is amazing to me!! My test was on July 9th. results back in 4-8 weeks. i wanted to get tested for years but was always warned (by dad mostly) i would never get insurance, bla, bla, bla!!! after joining the site i realized that all my feelings were normal and ok. i feel closer to some people on this site than friends i have here in town. a very unusual bond, but great none the less!

Jennifer TonelliWe've gotta get a picture of you uploaded! We need to see the pretty faces of everyone on here! I understand there is a great support chapter in OH, so if you are not involved yet - you need to hook up with the right people. Check out Robert and Laura Cleveland on this site. They live in Columbus. Love to you! Have a great day!

Jennifer TonelliHi Mary. That is the dose my mom takes, so now I feel better. If it is working for you, then there is hope. I have seen a substantial decrease in her aggressiveness. I believe that my mom would not be as bad as she is today if she didn't fall in Jan. 2007. She was still with a walker, she was in assisted living and doing well enough to keep her there. Although, she got stubborn one day and tried to shower on her own. She didn't trust some of the staff for her own crazy reasons. She fell in the shower, and probably fell more then I knew because there was not one but two subdural hematomas. Two emergency craniotomies followed. It took over 1 year for her to get better from the operations. There were many complications. Including MRSA...that nasty infection you read about. Yeah - my mom got it from one of the best teaching hospitals in MA. But it all brought me to this point. We didn't know she had HD until after all this went down. So, I still say that Things Happen for a Reason!!!!!
