Wow, Mary, thanks for the lovely compliment!! To be compared to your Mom is an amazing thing to me : ) From reading your profile, I know that she was an awesome woman. My Mom, too, has had to go through alot, especially for the last several years. She is one of the strongest people I know. My hope is that I can stay as positive as I am right now. Hi Rhonda, I was just reading your profile. You remind me alot of my mother. While she was in her prime. She married into a family w/HD but when daddy became symptomatic, noone even knew what it was. I think Daddy retired from FDept in the late 60's. But Mother never let it get her down. At least not around me anyway. She remained optimistic, helped start the local chapter, and eventually was blessed w/meeting her idol. Marjorie Guthrie. She died 18 mos before my oldest HDpos brother, Richard died. That would have killed her anyway. The only thing she ever told me was she hoped she would never have to bury her children, since burying the love of her life, her soulmate, her best friend was so hard. But she never ever stopped Finding the Cure . . . You are an inspiration me. I hope we can be friends.
