    Hi Meghan,

Thanks for the friends invite. I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a very sad time for you, I know. Losing a parent leaves big hole in your heart forever. That is a very nice picture of you and your dad. How's it going for you? How are you? My hubby has HD. The first one to be diagnosed in his family. It's been a very tough road for us becuase we don't have family support. No one really understands what really goes on in the daily life of someone with HD and their loved ones except those that are right there living it or have lived it before. Let's keep in touch, okay? :)

Ohhh the baby is coming soon! You must be so excited!! Sorry I just read your comment, I had surgery (just my tubes tied, no more babies...which is OK!) .

I want to get her something for the baby.  I have to think. is she having it in CT (she lives in CT right?) I will think up something crafty. My dad is going to a nursing home in Lowell temp. until he can get into a better more HD facility- so I can come see him and you one night. A double whammy. If I bring mom she can pay. HAAA HAA. I will let you know, mom was talking about you the other day, she said something like your mom told her you said it's ok if Debbie comes, she is like another mom. (Or something like that) Anyway my mom was soooo happy about that. It made her day. Just thought you would want to know that. Your loved!!

I will ask mom when she is going next week and then let you know.

Thank you for the "friend request".  Welcome.  I have lost both of my parents.  My mother was 46 when she passed in 1970.  My father passed 20 years later.  Neither of them were diagnosed with HD.  They each had been diagnosed, especially my mother with various diseases.  One she most definitely suffered from for years was cancer; from in her late 20's.  She married at 27 and had 9 children; even as the cancer attacked her boy.  My aunt, however, on my mother's side was diagnosed in her 50's.  My uncle then researched our family tree on that side of the family and found that my great-grandfather on mom's side had all the symptoms, although never diagnosed.  Eveyone on my mother's side of the family that we have been able to trace, has passed away at a fairly young age; no older than 65 apparently.  Except for my aunt who was comatose for the last 10 years of her life.  She passed at 70.  She was never on life-support and my uncle took care of her at home with a nurse stopping in a couple times a week until he had a stroke.  He didn't stop caring for her, however.  A nurse then came to the house every day for a few years.  She passed in her sleep.  I found it interesting that, in her casket, she looked as if she hadn't aged past 50.  Her body hadn't reacted to the struggles we all face in life.

Your father passed on my birthday.  He is at peace and is watching over you...
